Enthusiasm is not a replacement for experience
Many churches using the ‘contemporary’ model of worship may already have a committed worship leader, an enthusiastic team and an up-to-date song repertoire, but are still finding themselves unable to enter into the level of congregational worship they were hoping to achieve.
This can often be simply due to basic musical errors and insufficient expertise to know how to make the necessary musical improvements
Investing in your worship team can result in:
- Congregations finding it easier to participate and enter into the times of worship
- The times of sung worship achieving a greater sense of flow
- The worship leader and music team becoming less noticeable or dominant
- The pastor being able to gain more confidence and trust in the worship leader and the music team.
- An improved sense of belonging and ownership within the congregation and a resulting growth in the church as a worshipping ‘community’
- Worship services being more attractive to younger adults and ‘un-churched’ visitors
