"As former Vicar of Holy Trinity Brompton, I have known Andy Piercy for at least twenty years, as a long-standing and fully committed member of the congregation, and as a staff member of the HTB worship team.
When I became Vicar of HTB in 1985, morning worship was almost exclusively led by a professional robed choir. Andy was invited to join the HTB staff in the early 1990s shortly after our decision to introduce a more welcoming informal Sunday morning family service. At my request, he gradually developed an extremely effective style of worship, showing great sensitivity to the views of the church leadership and of the congregation as a whole.
Since then, Andy has been very closely involved in the gradual development of a worship style that is easily adaptable for use in Sunday services, national and international conferences, church training courses and smaller “pastorate” groups. His musical and technical experience and expertise are invaluable, and he has always been a good team member, working equally well with amateur or professionally trained musicians.
Andy has always encouraged people to take pleasure in worship and perhaps one of his greatest gifts is his ability to draw others into his own great enthusiasm for worshipping God. He is not so much a leader as an encourager of worship whose enthusiasm and sensitivity can quickly inspire a gathering of people of all ages, talents and musical tastes to join together with him in wholehearted worship of God!
Having worked with him for many years, I am sure that Andy’s expert help and advice would be a real asset to any church and I am very happy to commend him to you."

"I have known Andy Piercy for over a decade, and have never failed to be stretched by his creativity, encouraged by his pastoral heart, and blessed by his friendship. His strong desire to mentor and sharpen worship music teams is matched by much skill, experience and wisdom.
This new training initiative will be a dynamic and valuable tool for many a worshipping church."

"I have personally benefited from Andy's wealth of knowledge and experience in the area of worship and music over the years. I have fond memories of
just the two of us having times of worship in his back room, as well as in
larger gatherings, and in the recording studio. I mention these different
areas because whatever situation you find yourself in with Andy, you always
get the same man . . . a humble heart, who loves to worship and create an
environment for worship.
I thoroughly recommend him to your worship team as someone who will help you
all move on to the next level."

"When we first started out writing, recording and leading worship, Andy was
there to guide us through and watch our first baby steps. His experience in
the music industry and years of music co-ordinating in the local church set
him apart as one of the premier figures in his field. If you need help then
he's your man."

“Andy has an amazing heart to equip and train both musicians and worship leaders. Whether it’s bringing encouragement, input to develop individual gifts or teaching to resource teams Andy is amazing. He has enormous experience and is a person I hugely admire and respect. I’d always listen very closely to anything Andy had to say!”

"Dear Andy, Blessings from Beijing! So great to have had you with us here
in the capital of the Peoples Republic of China. Can't wait to have you back again. God has given you such a special gift in worship. Thank you for leading us into his presence and teaching our music team how to be more effective in doing the same."

"Andy Piercy is the sort of guy who can come into any worship situation and immediately add value. His professionalism, expertise and experience has been wonderfully packaged by God within an individual who is instantly likeable and who is able to relate to a wide spectrum of people. He has made a lasting impression not only in the Vine Christian Fellowship but in the wider Hong Kong Church. We are looking forward to a long lasting relationship with Andy as a special friend that will result in a harvest of committed, skilled worship leaders and teams. I have no hesitation in recommending him to churches of any background in any culture."

"Andy expressed and explained a lot of what I felt within myself about music ministry but had not been able to put into words before. Additionally, I learned a lot more, including many practical tips, about developing music ministry. His presentation and ministry has both simplicity and power."

"We recently had Andy Piercy here in Hong Kong for a training/teaching session with our worship team members and also leading our contemporary style worship service on the Sunday morning.
The training session was excellent with Andy having some quality input into the lives of the worship leaders, musicians and singers. He taught some very practical and Biblical aspects of worship, along with some skills and ideas on how to be more effective in leading the congregation to worship God. He encouraged. He inspired. He motivated.
On Sunday his obvious strength in leading both the team and the congregation in worship, combined with a very relaxed and personable approach to everyone, contributed to yet another very good worship service.
Andy’s contribution to our church worship was greatly appreciated and a significant part of our ongoing journey as a church family. We will never be able to calculate the full impact of his time with us because it is just one part of an ongoing process that God is taking us through, but it was certainly a very significant and very encouraging and confirming time for us as a church family. We certainly intend to invite him back at some stage in the not too distant future.
While here in Hong Kong, and at very short notice, he led a prayer meeting of songs and prayer. This was also very worthwhile and was attended by the Pastors and quite a few congregation members of three churches which have close links with each other.
I strongly encourage you to allow Andy to spend time with your worship leaders, singers and musicians, and also to allow him to lead worship in your church. He is a breath of fresh air and inspires everyone to new levels of worship that is both of quality and enjoyable. God will bless you and enrich you greatly as you allow Andy to be amongst you."

"Last weekend around 35 christian musicians, worship leaders and their teams gathered for a time of worship training with Andy Piercy. Coming from all over Slovenia, most of them were between 17 and 25 years old, serving their local congregations in the Catholic Church in Slovenia.
It was not just a time of learning how to do worship; it was more of an ongoing worship experience all the time! Andy not only taught us many useful and practical aspects of worshipping, but introduced us to the presence of the Lord, who is worthy of all our enthusiasm, creativity and praise. As worshippers we understood we serve Him by serving our congregations first. It was amazing to see, how quickly young people understood what it's all about and it was just a matter of time, before they started to implement Andy's recommendations into their own worship. The difference was obvious!
We were greatly encouraged in our mission by Andy's presence and teaching. Looking forward to see God's glory revealed in all it's beauty and truth to our nation!"

WORSHIP TRAINING DAY
ALBRIGHTON SHROPSHIRE APRIL 2006
"Some feedback for you on the great day we had last week with a wide variety of delegates from different churches and backgrounds.
I don’t think Shropshire has had many, if any, opportunities to explore contemporary worship in such an open, fun and stimulating way.
Having attended your course in London several years ago I was convinced it was the right move to ask you to come and spend some time with us – so it was.
Those attending were completely absorbed and told me that they had so much to take away with them. I felt revived the next day at our services, loved ‘my’ congregation and we worshipped the roof off. (I hadn’t realised how much I needed to revisit my approach –it can be a lonely furrow sometimes). Newer members of the team were obviously inspired.
It’s relatively new to the churches in this area to consider paying for courses like this but I’d say that changed on Saturday and, unanimously, it will become part of our resource planning for development of our worship attitudes and gifts.
We have to give our best to God and His Church, in summary it was a time of reflection, learning, fun, prayer and fellowship. Everyone pressed us for another day in 6 months - so Andy, God willing we look forward to seeing you again in the Autumn.
Thank you and thank God for our wide community."
